**Spoilers Ahead**

If you've made the commitment of watching the insane, over-the-top, and hilarious Showtime series Shameless, you know that you can count on things going wrong almost 100% of the time. Right when things look like they're headed in the right direction, things get turned upside down in a matter of minutes. Each character has had pivotal moments in the show that have made us want to cry, laugh, or scream along with them. One character in particular who you can't help but feel for her is Fiona Gallagher. No matter how much she may try to keep a hold on things and stay strong, she is always hit with a curveball that pushes her to the verge of a breakdown. Here are just a couple of moments that made you feel Fiona's pain:

1. Season 1 - When Fiona gives up going away with Jimmy/Steve because of her family.
There was no denying how much Fiona would’ve loved to have gone away from all her troubles and be happy in a much nicer place with Jimmy/Steve, but the need to be there for her family is what made her stay. After all, she is the core of the family and after realizing what she’d be leaving, she knew she couldn’t just get up and go and pretend like all her problems didn't exist. We all just wanted her to go and live the life she deserved, but without her, the household would just fall apart. So way to go Fiona for being your usual selfless self!

2. Season 1 - When Monica comes out of the blue wanting to take Liam away and Fiona lets out years of built up anger and frustration.
Not like Fiona gave up her life to step up for her low-life parents or anything, but now one of those low-lives comes out of nowhere in an effort to make up for lost time? Fiona was not going to put up with one of Monica’s many episodes again and she makes sure to let her mom know just how much she’s missed out on and the successes her kids have had without her help. Fiona's heartfelt and emotional speech makes you want to cry alongside her and be the mother she never had.

3. Season 4 - Liam getting into Fiona’s stash of cocaine.
Okay yea, Fiona shouldn’t have left her stash of cocaine somewhere where Liam could get to it, but how was she supposed to know that that would happen. Fiona was finally getting to just live, celebrating her birthday with Kev and Vee and just letting loose, but it wouldn’t be a Gallagher household if something didn’t go wrong. As if she wasn’t already beating herself up over it, Lip is there to constantly remind her that she messed up and was almost the cause of her brother's death. I mean come on, she was arrested? Wasn't that punishment enough? Fiona's life falling apart made us want to, once again, come to her aide and let her know that everything would be okay.

4. Season 6 - Fiona’s wedding taking a major turn.
We knew it was too good to be true. Fiona was happy and even said she felt like she was making the right move this time. Boy, could she have been more wrong. She had finally gotten the divorce from Gus and Sean was able to get back Gus’ ring, which seemed like an impossible feet and now she was going to do the whole marriage thing right this time. Or so she thought. The whole Gallagher family in one room together? Something was bound to go wrong. Not only does Frank being there ruin everything, but then Fiona finds out Sean hasn’t been as sober as he claimed to have been. Fiona crying in her wedding dress after having her wedding ruined? Cue the water works. Deja vue?

5. Season 7 - When Fiona tries to make moves with the Laundromat but then everything that could possibly go wrong, goes wrong.
Fiona saw potential in the Laundromat. How was she supposed to know that everything would go wrong. Not only does she not have all the financials to keep the place afloat, but she has to deal with Lip doubting her and putting her down, losing Vee as a best friend, having to manage the diner and Debby coming to her with her own issues. Fiona's emotional breakdown to Kev was only proof that under that hard exterior lies a girl trying her best to hold herself together.

While there have been quite a number of moments where Fiona almost "made it," life just proves that her happiness is not something that will come to her easily. Yes, she has had her fair share of mess-ups, but that's not to say that she doesn't deserve to catch a break. In the mean time, we'll have to continue watching her struggle and cry alongside her episode after episode.
